Default Fuel Pressure Drop.....

Ok guys i have a problem with my fuel pressure.I have a Racetronix fuel pump and from what im told it's supposed to be right @ 62psi well ever since the cam install and the retune its been steady @ 59psi cold start up and when she warms up it falls to about 57-58psi.I have took the gauge out of my pillar and unplugged it, plug it back in and nothing same psi.My question is there any way to up the fuel pressure by a tune or possibly by somthing else any help would be greatly appreciated thanx in advance.....

Check voltage at the pump while the car is running. Make sure you are seeing battery voltage, or close to it. Can you try another pressure gauge? A mechanical one right off the rail possibly? Typical Walbro upgrades net 62-63psi. The Racetronix one should do the same.

I can take my fathers gauge out and try that ill do that tomm. Maybe ill install a guage on the fuel rail. Tonight on my way home i watched the gauge and went WOT psi dropped right away and went down to almost 49psi so ill have to do something because theres no way i can spray with that amount on psi drop.....

Typically, a pressure drop at WOT can be solved by an aftermarket wiring kit, such as the Racetronix. Put a voltmeter at the fuel pump and run the same test at WOT. If the voltage drops, most likely you need the wiring harness.

58 is normal, but I would consider anywhere up to 62 at idle OK.

Does it hold 58 under load as well? This is all that matters.
