I work for Lokar performance products and we are doing some R and D on differant LS1 products. I purchased a core engine and had a few questions. I am new to Ls1 engines and the applications. How many camaro throttle bodies were there? Was the camaro throttle body the same as the 2004 GTO?
How many types of exhaust manifolds came on these engines? Thanks in advance for any help. Jim

yes they are the same

the body itself is the same from 98 to 2002, the cam and spring however are different,,in this pic the 98/99 cam is on the left, 2000 to 2002 on the right..



the 6.0 one is also the same, with only minor differences in the cooling tubes, and PCV tube,,,they also utilize the 98/99 cam

Thanks a lot for the pictures and response. It sounds like the junk yard may have put a 6.0 throttle body on a corvette engine. I asked them for a throttle body that uses a throttle cable because the engine had drive by wire.
We are looking into manufacturing a bracket for our LS1 cable.
