fuel injector pressure This isn't a ls1, but I figured I'd post it here. We are converting a small 500cc twin to run on ethanol. Stock fuel pressure is 42psi and using some online calculators it looks like we need about 34lb/hr to fuel the 80 horse motor with e85. We did a rough bench test of 1 min intervals to get a flow rate for different rail pressures. Using a rail pressure of 60psi we got and avg of 35ish lb/hr. Using a rail pressure of 70 psi we got a flow rate of 40lb/hr. I was thinking that we need to run more than the 35lbs, but I am worried that running 70 psi through injectors that were from the factory at 42 psi is asking for trouble. Is 70 psi asking too much for the injectors?
