sending unit...to AN
I've got an 86 c10 i'm swapping in a 6.0/4l80.
Trying to get my fuel system figured out.
I bought an 87 sending unit with pump hanger. Still have to buy a pump...soon.
This is my dilemma.
The stock sending unit has 3/8 and 5/16 lines for feed and return, but it's just got the ends for rubber hose.
I plan on using the vette filter regulator. Just having a time trying to decide if I want to just use the dorman adapters and go with rubber efi from sending unit to filter, then hard line to engine bay, then....??? to fuel rail.
Have any of you guys run this type of fitting:

to adapt hard line to AN? How is it working for you?
As for sending unit, have any of you cut the "nipple" off the sending unit lines to adapt these? Would a bung to AN welded on sending unit outlets work? Or not?
Just looking for some options. I really don't want to go crazy on the setup, just simple, and have it work with no problems. But, If I can find the right fittings to go AN, I would seriously rethink my situation.
Thx for any input.
here is what I ordered from summit. Basically its 3/8 (-6) from the fuel tank to the fuel rail, and a 3/8 back to the tank with 5/16 quick disconnect.

2 640860
1 800-155

6 220690

I just installed a 00 T/A fuel tank with the in tank fuel pump, so that is why I have the extra quick disconnects. Also, right now I'll be using a truck intake that only has one feed line (no return line). By using the F-body tank, it has the fuel pump in it, and it's pretty much plug and play. Oh, I guess for me the other advantage was it got it out of the cab, but that won't be a problem for you.
lol
I bought all the fittings shortly after I posted this...but thx for the reply.
My motor/tranny is due to be delivered Friday. I am even getting to try out the doug thorley ls1 headers and see if they fit. I recognized your name from 67-72...
