was the wire you used Teflon jacketed? the Teflon jacketed wire is much more resistant to fuel than standard pvc jacketed wire. Other wise that install looks good man, rock n roll!

There isn't a worry about not having the fpr filtered and it doesn't have to go down to the level of the sock?

nope just tie it up to a side The only reason the stock setups have the return redirected back to the sock is 'cos it's already filtered though the sock and the filter and so they dump it right back at the pump to keep the sock clean in the long run.

I used the kit from racetronix... I still had to drop the tank down a bit to get the lines off and it was really hard to get the pump unit back into the tank through the hole. Now my fuel gauge doesn't go to full anymore. I am going to pull it apart again when I put it away for winter.

It was easy to get the pump out. I just took the float off and the pump slid right out.

Mines an 01 so it doesnt have the baffles. I bought the racetronix pump only for $150 (I didnt see the need for the harness) and its been great especially since it fits in without modifying the bucket its been good for about 6 months now.

Why are 98's left in the dark? Racetronix makes a fuel pump kit specifically for 98's. It's a straight forward install. The only thing that really sucks is the metal tank itself is not as easy to move around compared to the plastic tank when you drop it.

I just pulled the piece out of the sock and it fit right on.

I had a really hard time getting the pump back in on my 98 it is mounted on a springloaded leaver and It didn't want to go down the weird shape just at a weird angle.
