gas hand stops working under half tank. 99 t/a any thing less then a lil under half and gas hand its empty and check gages light comes on. anyone??

Your sending unit is likely bad. The small wipers on it corrode off due to moisture & or corrosive fuel additives. I see this on a lot of the cores I receive when building my dual intank pump setups. They retail at GM for about $100 & generics are about 1/2 of this.... but I'm hesitant to use a generic part where it is so hard to replace.
