The middle plug in the fuel pump assmebly I capped.

Look at the tank itself now.. The white thing goes down like normal.. psi blowoff I assume.

Then to the right of it is that black thing that sticks out.. I capped the plug that goes out to the right, and the plug that goes out downard I put on that rubber hose. I run that rubber hose up along the filler neck and it just hangs there. That's my vent.

Is the 'box' the piece kinda up in the fender well area near the fill neck? It's a black box with a few lines running to it from the tank. I have a 98 if that matters.

ss_girl, the 98 evap is up in the fender.. what you are referring to. The 99+ is on the tank itself.

The 98's is more of a canister lookign thing.. big and round. The 99+ is more of a rectangular box.

So to remove it do I just pull the lines off of it and zip tie them up?

on the 98 I'm not really sure. I'd drop the entire tank just to make sure.

The 98 if I can recall has 2 vac lines coming from the fuel pump arm. I think you'd cap one and use one as a vent. Remove all the vac lines to the EVAP canister in your wheel well up to the intake and just plug the intake.

Make sure you vent the right line from the tank though. One is a pressure blow off which you must leave, one line goes to the EVAP canistoer though which is the one I'd use to vent. Just use a hose and run it up along the filler neck.

Would anyone be interested in selling me their EVAP lines and sensor? I would need the plastic line that connects from the intake manifold to the round looking sensor it plugs into and the plastic line exiting the sensor which connects to the hard fuel line behind the engine. To clarify maybe...I need everything in front of where it connects to the hard fuel line that runs back to the tank.
If you would let me know, I would appreciate it. I am switching manifolds on my truck, but need to retain EVAP controls. (The truck sensor plugs straight into the manifold, so I need an F-body setup for the F-body manifold)
Thank You

I need those parts circled in the picture and the plastic line coming out of the other end of that round sensor.

Hey magnus this is rich I came over with PSJ to check out the oil problem. I know your car is real light but I am wondering why ss girl is taking off all these parts to save weight (weight is E.T.) but then she adds a body kit that has to be 30 or 40 lbs I know it is expensive but why not save with a carbon fiber hood 30#s lighter than stock. moly k memberand a arms 20#s. qa1 shocks and springs 30#'s. These are all things that besides being lighter help the chassis work better. This way you still have saftey features your car came equipped with. Removing the bumper reinforcements is dangerous you never know what will happen exspecially on the street. Just my opinion don't want to see anyone get hurt. ss girl how about some pics of your car! ('s wow)

Who is this Rich guy. He sounds pretty smart. What a bunch of ricer hypocrites. Who would go through all this trouble of lightening their car to add another 50 pounds worth of worthless body kit. I've been saying this exact same thing about ricers for years, and look who is committing the biggest offense, one of our fellow LS1er's. Shame on you civic girl.

Hi Rich, the whole EVAP system is probably about 5 lbs at most.. To me it was more of a clean thing. I removed extra vac hoses and such. It would have been a major PITA for me to rewire the car for the new evap system during the conversion.
