fittings question

fittings question i put teflon on my fittings and proceeded to put them on my edelbrock rails. now heres the catch, it threads in fine by and and then it gets tight. i turn it somemore and there are still threads showing
will this be ok? some setups ive seen are like this and others bottom out. any insight? thanks

As long as you have teflon on it either tape or liquid sealer and it is physically tight than you will be fine. It is a pipe thread fitting and is actually tapered. I've seen a few that are bottomed and others with threads. For the most part it is how deep they are tapped when they are machined that makes the difference. Don't sweat it.
