Is gas supose to come out of the vacum nipple on the fuel preshure regulator??????? mine has gas trickiling out of it. And i think this may be the cause of my tuning problems. please help

 

You might need a small hose clamp...If you already have one...It might be on too tight, cutting into the hose attached....trim up and try again if thats the case

 

Sounds like a torn/leaking diaphragm. If you have a re-buildable reg you can fix it, if not time for a replacement.

 

This is a new one that is about 5 months old. And about 500 miles on it. Im sure that the fuel is not supose to come out of their cause my intake is sucking in extra fuel. And im not sure what my preshure is like now. So im going to check. This will be the 3rd new part i bought this winter that was junk.

 

No, fuel is not supposed to leak there. I have heard of this happening before though. Aeromotive?

It can get worse, and it can damage the motor. Replace it immediately.

Aeromotives are pretty bad for this. They use the pressure diaphragm as the seal, instead of a seperate sealing mechanism.

What brand? I HAD an aeromotive. when i pulled it, the vac. refe. line was half fuel of fuel! running a weldon now.

 

YOU ALL GUESSED IT. aeromotive. This sucks . This would explain why my car will not start right and why i can not tune it. Thanks for the help guys.
