Default Possible pump problem?

This problem has started the last few weeks and has continued to get worse daily it seems. The car starts and runs just fine but if I drive on the hwy for 20 mins or more and then come to a stop the rpm's drop lower and lower and it dies. While they are dropping and I give it gas it will not rev at all most of the time or will try but feels like it's missing and running on just a few cylinders. After it dies it will sometimes start but idle low and will not rev at all. If I let it set for 5 mins or more sometimes it will restart and run fine but eventually go through all that again. I had an idea that it was pump so I went and filled it up with gas and have driven it the last couple of days and it hasn't died but the rpm's will drop down and raise and has a hesitation when taking off at times also. I haven't had a chance to check the fuel pressure yet so i'm just guessing off the top of my head, i'm sure someone has had a similar prob but I couldn't find much when I searched.

Thanks for the help

Started the car today cold and fuel pressure was at 58 and when the car got to operating temp it moved down to 35 and jumped around from 32-35. When revving it up it would drop a little then go up to about 40 or so. Any ideas? Fuel filter has been replaced and made no change.

Also thought maybe the alternator, checked it out voltage would start at 14.X and very slowly drop into the 12.X range and the amps were around 3 at idle, swapped it out and the voltage seemed to hold steady at 14.X and the amps are between 18-20 at idle now, this also made no change to the car.

What is the VDC at the pump?
Running a pump at reduced voltage, raises the amp draw, and can adversly affect the pump life.
Tank vented?
E-bag Walbro knockoff pump?

Haven't checked at the pump yet, i'm sure it's vented, it's a stock tank.
It's a walbro pump, got it from my tuner's car so i'm not sure how old it is.
