Default duel intank problems

I am having a problem with my twin intank pump setup it is in an 02 Z done very simular to the mighty mouse write-up with -6 feed/stock feed as return and nasty rails boost ref FPR. When the car sits all night and I turn the key on it takes about 5 cycles with the key to get the fuel pressure to prime to about 50psi then when started the FP will go down to 35 or so then back up to 50 with in seconds. ant ideas what is going on.
Both are hot wired to the alt with there own relays/wire and fuses and both are working win I unhook the other.

ok I just went out and tried each pump by there selfs and it primed to 50psi cracking the ruel rail to releive the pressure each time and then tried them together and they worked building 50 psi everytime maybe there was air/trash in the system I will let it sit and see if it does the samething tomorrow hopfully it does not.

Well I let the car sit for 4 hours and it took 2 turns of the key to get the Fuel press to 50 psi. What could be wrong to make the system lose its prime?

the pumps have their own internal checks. if one or the other is not working then the system will fail to hold pressure for cranking.
connect one, watch the fuel pressure and connect the other one.. the pressure should jump a couple psi.

also dont forget to put fuel back in the tank if you emptied it.

So is there an in-line check valve that you know of that I could put in-line to keep the pumps from bleeding down. It must be the new pump that I installed that has a falty check valve because the other one has been in there for about 10,000 miles with no problems.

I found this and I think it would work I hope it would not restrict the flow to much http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku I just looked at it and it is backwards from what I would need. so it would not work

i would check it out, you could have a leak at a fitting or a busted hose.

if the pump is genuinely bad then you should get a free replacement
