Need 98 Walbro Install Help Hey guys...I have a 98 WS.6 and recently burned out the stock fuel pump...I purchased a Walbro pump from one of the members on FASTLSX,and was directed to the 99+ write up. I figured that there wasnt much of a difference so i started cutting...BIG DIFFERENCE...Hard lines instead of soft lines, the pump is further back, and the bucket system looks different from the top. I did a little reading and saw a few members discussing this in the WALBRO sticky...Anyone done this before on a 98 with hard lines? could deff use some assistnace here...cars been down for weeks cause of this...thanks
did you even read the question? I want to drop my tank not the trap door mod. HOW DO I DROP THE 98 FUEL TANK?

I have heard that for a better drop you have to take the Diff out,but I am not sure of that.
We did cut the neck(was not my idea),so it can be bend in order to take the fuel tank out,be care full not to cut the inner tube of the neck.
Tank is still out,waiting for the pump,only thing is to see how we are going to seal the cut on the neck,so when purring gas it won't leak out.

Verdad Gallardo thanks for the response. Taking the diff out seems crazy, I think with a little bit of jack work and some luck, another person helping and hopefully I can get it out. Who in the heck came up with this idea though? Why a solid filler neck what is easier or more convenient about that?
