Double priming fuel pump
Double priming fuel pump I have an sts turbo trans am and I have a walbro 255 fuel pump. My car takes about 8 seconds to start if I don't double prime the fuel pump. At first I was fine with it, but now it is annoying. Is there anyway of fixing this without getting a new one? I called nastyperformance (where I bought it from) and they said they don't refund walbro items, so I definatly don't want to buy a new one, considering this one is already new....
It might just be the line in the tank from the pump to the outlet leaking and letting your cranking prime leak down or a bad check valve in the pump. I would put my money on the line leaking because I had the same problem on my twin intank setup
I'd suggest.. Without, you are rolling the dice, as to how long it'll stay together.
Stall up has a good suggestion. [A good indicator of the problem he suggests, is instantly falling FP...]
Thanks guys, I will check that out tomorrow. I am getting it tuned/dynoed again tomorrow as well, to make sure my a/f is in check because my wideband doesn't work. When I called walbro they said something about it is probably the check valve being bad, but it is a brand new pump.. Do I get another one at autozone or where?
