Question Hard starting after fuel pump install

I just finished installing my racetronix fuel system last week and it is usually much harder to start than before. sometimes it will fire up immediately but most of the time it takes atleast 3 seconds or more. once started it runs perfect.

is the fuel pump priming when you turn the ignition on? did you buy the racetronix fuel system with their wiring harness and everything?

I think I'm having the same problem. I turn my key to the on position 3 or 4 times then I crank it. I don't think this is normal to have to do this though. Did you figure it out?

i have the same problem with the racetronix kit...they are supposed to have a check valve that keeps the line full and some pressure...that seems to not be working in mine...yall might have a pinched o ring or have a nick in it making it leak fuel...

The guy who installed it for me said the same thing about the o ring and check valve. I wonder how often those check valves fail and if there is a way to check to see which is the problem.

Are you checking the fuel pressure at the rail and seeing if it's holding after the key is off? I'm pretty sure the Racetronix pump is modified to increase flow by removing the check valve, but send them an e-mail to confirm. I run the Racetronix pump, but I also have a fuel pressure regulator installed.

The Racetronix pump still retains the check valve.
