Differences between '98 and '99+ fuel tanks?
Differences between '98 and '99+ fuel tanks? Exactly what the title says. Besides the material used. I was looking at the CAS sumped tanks on Speed Inc.'s website, and it lists two different ones, and a big jump in price for the '98 compared to the '99+.

They use a different internal assembly, different filler tube (99-up has a rubber portion and can be disconnected), different setup for charcoal canisters, nearly everything is different.

The lines coming out of the tank are routed in different direction, 98s (metal lines also) the lines point toward the front of the car. 99s (plastic lines) lines point toward the driver side rear wheel. Another words just about everything is different.

I am running one of them, and I had to use a 99 filler neck and gas cap, the stock 98 one will not fit.
I have my entire 98 stock tank around if you wanted a cheap one to sump.
