I have found 42# svo injectors for $330. I figure 42# should be plenty for 500 rwhp. Anyone else know of a cheaper route to go for injectors that can handle this power? TIA.

Although you're probably correct, I would think you'd want some elbow room for later mods. Byunspeed has Siemens 60# for $350 ish

 

i have a set of 60's i will sell ya for 300 ,they only have a few hundred miles and they were good enough for 650rwhp.....

 

I am running Holley 50's with 500rwhp. I would get a little bigger than that if I were to do it again. More room to grow. These are not even close to maxing out though.

 

I only plan on spraying a wet shot so I will not need injectors bigger than 42#. I have heard alot of debate over the svo vs lucas/delphi 42#. They both put out close to 49# @4bar but it seems the lucas injectors are better suited low in the rev range and are better at idle than the svos. Anyone have anything else to add over which injector they would choose? Oh, and I found the lucas injectors for $277 so these are looking like the better buy.

 

Sounds to me you got a plan of attack. If you can save money that is always a bonus.

 

Any competent tuner can make either of these work excellently. If you get a better deal on one than the other, then go for it. On the other hand, if you were boosted rather than the bottle, and thought that you may to stretch your injectors out by running the pressure up, the SVO's would work much better.

ALSO, FROST is right. but it does take a COMPETENT TUNER to tune 60# injectors for small applications.

see what i'm running, I'm going to be doing a cam and will get near the 500RWHP mark; and i should be fine on injectors

 

but also saving in aggravation is a wise decision


Not even close to maxing out.... so why go bigger? I do not understand.
