Just figured I would share. I'm sure most of the people reading in this forum have had similar things happen LOL
The pinion was completely destroyed along with the ring gear. Half the pinion was missing, and there were chunks out of every tooth on the ring. Of course it happened 40 miles from home...daily driving. Pulling away from a stop light in first gear. It locked up for a second at about 25 mph...Oh well. $120 and 3 hours later I made it home.
Rear end only have 17k miles on it....412rwhp, 315 Nitto dr's. Powershifted on a dialy basis along with HUNDREDS of 50mph 1st gear rolls. Probably 60 5k launches on the street...never hooked, but it was good times. Oh yeah...this was a 3:23 rear end. I thought it was going to last a little longer lol.
Now I have a Moser 9" with 3.50 gears, 35 spline axles, and a locker along with a steel driveshaft.
