noob question... but what kind of paint or chalk do you use to mark the gear teeth to check the wear pattern? I skimmed through the richmond install guide but didnt see anything...

Its a painted grease. You can get from anyone wo does anything with gear installs.

yeah, i got mine from the install kit from richmond.

Looks like your carrier needs moved into the pinion .002-.003 I bet the backlash on that setup is crazy open causing it to whine like hell on deceleration.

We pay 600.00 for a 5 gallon bucket of the yellow marking compound. Just so you guys know why they give you so little in the install kits.

wish me luck guys, I just got the rear back under the car and Im just finishing up installing some suspension goodies and painting everything up.
here is some pics from last week, Ill update the pics tomorrow because it should be done, test drive hopefully next week. granted the snow melts.
