Default 10 Bolt - LS1 vs. LT1

Is there a difference between the 10 bolt in a LT1 vs. LS1? The reason I'm asking is I have 2.73s in my 99 rear. Someone local is selling their LT1 rear with 3.73s. Would this be a simple swap? I have a 3 channel rear. Was there a 4 channel option on LT1 f-bodies?

I did a quick search and got conflicting answers. Thanks.

brakes are different, you will need to remove the calipers, change your backing plates from one to the other, then install your current calipers. Not sure if there was a 4 channel LT1 or not. I CAN tell you that i had a 3 channel 10 bolt that was set up as a 4 channel in my car when i bought it, so there are ways to make it work.

yes there are 4-channel LT1 10-bolts. ASR/TCS became an option in '95. a 3-channel means ABS and no ASR/TCS. brakes are different, so swapping out the hardware should be all you have to do from LT1 to LS1...

Are the torque arm mounts and all mounting points the same between the 2?

Thanks everyone. So I should be able to take whatever I do need off of my LS1 axle and put it on the LT1 axle to make everything work?

The Torsen is supposed to be a little bit better than the standard Auburn/Zexel Units.
