Time for Gears?
Time for Gears? I was just curious what everyone thought about what gear i should chose for my setup. I currently have a bolt on ls1 that runs 7.6 on motor at 91mph. On spray my best pass so far is 7.23 at 102. I am still running the factory 2.73 gears and wanted to know what gears you guys thought would benefit me best and what gains i might expect to see. all times are at 1/8th mile track off course.

ok well theoretically what is best for a bracket car is go thru the stripe at what you shift at in high gear or 3rd for OD transmissions.. some people shift crazy like 7 grand so u def dont want to go lower that 4 grand and say u are at 2 grand now one way to raise that number is to get gears like 373s or 342s or w.e or get a stall which i see you have so if u wanna get all the use out of your engine give her high rpms is my opinion
