going from 10 bolt to 12 bolt please help
I currently have a 10 bolt in the car and am trying to be proactive about it. My car will have a lot more power next month and I have a chance to pick up a low mile strange 12 bolt locally with a chromoloy driveshaft. I have a spohn tunnel mount torque arm as well.
The only situation is that the 12 bolt is set up for racing and I will be doing daily driving. Its set up with a steel spool and no tcs or abs. It has 1/2 wheel studs and a set of richmond 4.10s in it.
I'm getting an eaton hd posi with it so thats not a worry.
Is there anything else that I should know regarding this swap and any other parts I should get. Everything else should bolt up once I get the internals set up-right?
Just let me know and thanks in advance.

sounds like a great rear once you get that eaton in.
do you need or want tcs or abs? if not then its no big deal, just be sure to tie the plugs off so they dont get butchered by moving parts.
you didnt say if your an m6 or a4 but if your m6 i think thats a great ratio for dd...a4 its pretty short.
1/2 inch wheel studs will be great too.
overall i dont see any downsides

Sorry I didnt mention it is a built 4l60e with a custom vigilante ~3500 stall
I was thinking 4.10 may not be so street or highway friendly.
I don't care about tcs and is it a big deal to have abs on front and not rear. I don't think my abs is working anyway because I have this abs inop light because I have a taller tire out back anyways.
The only other issue there might be is Strange told me I may need to change axles as well for street driving. But I'm not sure what axles are in there now.
I'm going to check it all out sometime coming up this week. Also it has billet ends that are supposedly good up to 800 HP
