Replacing Posi-clutch pack?!

Replacing Posi-clutch pack?!
Need some help here. My stock 10-bolt posi is starting to "one leg" it sometimes with no other symptoms so I'm pretty sure all the track time is catching up with my posi clutch pack. I have never replaced just the clutch pack in a 4th gen F-bod. I did it once in the Dana 44 we had swapped into my 3rd gen way back when, and it was just a clutch pack that you could replace.
Questions: 1. I believe our 4th Gen 10 bolts are NOT the dreaded "cone" type posi that is not rebuildable. So I can actually just replace the clutch pack and go back to track and be happy. Someone confirm that please.
2. Where the hell can I get just a replacement clutch pack?
The dealer wants me to buy an entire "housing" for ~$500 just to get the clutch pack. I guess he meant an empty rear end. Don't know as I basically hung up on those dorks. Typical GM situation where you have to buy much more than you need.
Thanks in advance

Re: Replacing Posi-clutch pack?!
Never mind. Just called GM and found out the carrier is "unserviceable". Have to buy a new one and transfer my ring gear to it.
Way to go GM!
Soon I'll be posting on the WTB forum for a cheap carrier from someone who threw a 12-bolt on their car.

Order an SLP take off Torsen for $99 and be done with it. Which car is having the problems? The 99-02 cars are torsen and have not clutches in them at all.

Re: Replacing Posi-clutch pack?!
Guys,
thanks. It's my '94 that is starting to "one leg" sometimes. And I confirmed what you posted, it is the dreaded "cone type" that is not rebuildable.
I'll ask around locally. Gotta be someone who has swapped to a 12 bolt/ 9 inch before hurting their stock rear, and therefore has one in good condition just sitting around. Perhaps I can get a carrier off them for a small price.
