I'M thinking of going 3.90's also , alot of people will say 4.10's and I agree w/that if
your on 28" DR's but on a 26" tall street tire IMO is too much!

Gonna watch your post for moor opinion's!

i seem to think that 3.90s wit a 26 inch tire, is good, i think 4.10s is too much though

I have 3.90's w/m6 and they are just right for my stock motor. With 4.10's I would be shifting to 5th at the end of the 1/4 unless I changed my rev limiter and with stock motor don't want to do that.

Some like 3.73, some like 4.11. I say go with the perfect meduim and get 3.90's. That's what im running in a locker'd 9'' with an M6 and I love them!

What are you trapping in the 1/4 with your stock engine? I trapped 113 with my car when it only had bolt-ons with 4.10s and it was fine. You can hit right at 115 with 4.10s, stock height tires, and the 6200 rev limit.

Don't fear the gear

It's a noticeable difference when you swap from 3.42s to 4.10s. Makes 6th much more use-able as well.

Don't waste the money on an aftermarket differential. Just run the stocker til it dies while you save for a real rear (9in).

just leave the stocker as stated. It'll be fine for sometime. Gears are usually the weak link. ANd I wouldn't go putting sticky tires, that'll just put an end to the 10 bolt that much faster.

well as long as my motive gears will work with the stock carrier? i hope??? ive been down that road twice, some gears are only meant for the stock carrier, and then if the stock carrier blows u cant use those same gears on an aftermarket carrier.

gryene2003, do you have a stock carrier in yours??
