Moser vs. Strange

Ill take Strange over Moser anyday. After torque arm failures with moser 12-bolt, and the 3 channel or 4 channel abs (forgot wich one) complications with their 9-inch my only considerations are the Strange 12-bolt or S60. The S60 is cheaper and stronger than the 12-bolt, so that most like what I'll put on my T/A.
I have mixed feelings about my Moser 12-bolt, but I certainly would not buy another one. On the one hand, it has held up at the track rentals I go to time and again (15 or so runs per rental) dumping the Textralia at about 5000 RPM on slicks plus thousands and thousands of miles of street driving and hasn't broken yet, which is the main reason I bought it.
On the other hand, the whine from this is insanely loud at most speeds, especially highway speeds, and it clunks like crazy when I go around corners. Both my brother and I have the same rear in the same car making the same power and have had the same exact experience with them sound-wise, clunking-wise, but also holding up to the track beatings. They've both clunked and whined pretty much from the start. We've checked the torque arm bolts and they stay in fine but we haven't been able to determine why they clunk like they do. We have different transmissions (he has the stock T56 and I have a built MN12 T56) but I've noticed they tend to clunk a lot louder when you go around a corner in neutral rather than in gear.
Also, we both have the Eaton Posi units, not the lockers, so unless the Eaton is supposed to clunk like that, that's not the reason.
If it ever breaks, I'll be going to a 9-inch most likely.

So Im assuming youve prally beat on it a lil bit. What complaints do you have about it?

Hmm, Im gettin pretty mixed opinions on Moser. Most ppl who have em swear by em, but there are a few who say theyll never touch em again.

Besides the usual street driving, I average about 15 track runs a year and drive to and from the track (230 miles roundtrip) and it has held up well with no problems. I do have some gear whine (but so does my friend with a Moser 12-bolt). Other than that I can't really complain about it.
