Whats the diference between 3rd and 4th gen 9" rear housings??

i have a 3rd gen moser 9" in my 2001 Z...... its 1.5" narrower per side, but everything else bolts in with no problem

I am not 100% sure but I think the width is different and the brakes are different. Do a search as I remember reading alittle about this in a post about the differences in the brake mounting plates from the LT! car to the LS1 car.. Hope that helps...

3rd gens are narrower 2" on each side, and the brakes are differant, torque arm bracket might be differant too.
