Default driveshaft length

I'm running a stock 10 bolt W/auto in my 02 camaro. I am upgrading the engine and I want a stronger driveshaft. I know a stock length driveshaft using the rear 1350/1310 U joint will work on the 10 bolt but will it need to be shortend it when I go to a 12 bolt rear and use 1350 U joints, or will I be OK?

The 10 bolt and 12 bolt both take the same length of driveshaft. Here is the driveshaft that I use and recommend. http://www.exoticperformanceplus.com....html?item=541 Bob

So this will work with my 10 bolt (using 1310/1350 u joint) and the 12 bolt using 1350 u Joints? Will it work with my UMI tunnel brace Mounted Torque arm DS loop?

Yes, the driveshaft comes with a 1350 u joint so for the 10 bolt you would have to swap out the u joint. For the 12 bolt it would bolt right in.

It should work with your UMI DS loop. This driveshaft is larger in diameter by .50, on either side it is only .25 larger. Thanks. Bob

The 9 inch should really have a one inch larger driveshaft that the factory length. The stock length normally works but a few people have had a vibration that was resolved by going to the longer driveshaft.

I have the option at this link for the 10/12 bolt length and the 9 inch length.
