Is this a big deal? Driveshaft problem.
Is this a big deal? Driveshaft problem. After i put my clutch in, i heard a grinding noise coming from what sounded like the back of the car every time i hit the brakes. I checked it, and thought it was the exhaust touching the heat shield under the gas tank, so i didnt worry about it. Later i realized it was the driveshaft.
I jacked it up and looked under there and saw that the U-bolt clamp that held my cat-back to my Y-pipe would touch the driveshaft everytime the rear suspension would unload. It grinded a groove in the driveshaft that was probalby 2 or 3 millimeters deep at the most. Is this a big deal, like i need to replace it soon?
