Default my driveshaft fell off... ON THE FREEWAY!!

Ok, so my car has been vibrating and acting up a little bit for the past couple days. I wasn't quite sure what was the problem.. Anyway im on the way home from my friends house today, listening when and where the car vibrates, kind of testing it out, when CRASH! I heard a nasty sound and immediately pulled off to the shoulder to find that my driveshaft had come undone from my rear end. The u joint was still in the driveshaft and actually looked good. I am thinking that when i took my car out a couple days ago i threw out one of the clamps that hold the u joint to the driveshaft, then today i must have thrown the other one. Kinda freaky that it happened, but now, seeing as how my clamps and bolts to hold the driveshaft are on the freeway somewhere and have probly been flattened by now, does anyone know where i can get any new replacement ones? While not having to buy a new rear end or driveshaft? Thanks

Any local auto parts store should have them. Take a good look at that u-joint though and make sure it's not damaged.

Any auto parts store will have them. If it were me though I know I would replace the U-joints on both ends of the drive shaft.

Just a note, the straps you are missing should come with the u-joint, or at least you can get them together.. I too would replace both
