Default Moser 9"

I just installed my Moser 9". Wanted to know if anyone has had a problem with the car sitting about 3/4 to 1 inch higher with the rear end swap.

I am wondering if the spring mounts are higher and causing the change.


I have checked my control arms, panhard rod, torque arm and shocks for binding. They have all been torqued with the suspension preloaded as to factory specs.

I am running Eibach Pro rear springs.

i havent really noticed a difference when i had my 9" installed. im on stock springs too.

drive it around for a few days and see if it settles back down.

I have driven it for about 2 days, but it has only been about 60 miles though. I will drive it more tomorrow.

My car sat higher by about an inch or so I took out my upper isolater's and it dropped it back down to where I had it. I might do the heater hose mod to the springs.

Was the car any louder without the isolators. I was thinking of doing the same thing. Since the car has about 100 miles on it and has not come down.

I was told if you cut one coil out and put the isolators back in it will sit level. I did the heaterhose mod and its a shade lower in the rear with my 9"

When I installed mine I did the heater hose mod and noticed the car stayed about the same height so maybe the spring perch does sit a little higher. I am on stock springs as well and am thinking about cutting a coil. I'm also on 26" DRs so maybe I won't.

After settling as much as i think it is going to go its about 5/8 inch higher than before. I might just leave it not sure. I guess I just loved the way it looked before.

I will try removing the isolator this weekend and let you guys know. I will aslo shoot some pics.

Mine did the same thing - I thought I was imagining things - well, now I know - I think I will cut a coil out and get it back down where it should be.

Check to see if the rubber isolater is perfectly centered in the top mount.

If you went from a 10 bolt to a Moser 9 just look at the difference of the diameter of the axle tubes, the 9 has much larger axle tubes which sits the rear of the car up higher. Just do the hose mod and your good. GL

Same here but with the roads in Illinois, I just opted to leave it for the extra road clearance.
