No Trac-Loc which is the older style posi with clutches.

So I went tonight although I sweat to death getting ready and knew conditions sucked. I went slower but kind of figured that with mid 80's temps and 90% humidity. My best with the 9" tonight was 12.2@111 MPH. My best 60' was a 1.6. I think with cool unhumid temps I can get 11's but... it would have been much easier on the 10 bolt. Sept. 18th is cam/head/intake/tb install so maybe weather will change and I can try one more time before. Good news is the 9" performed great and I didn't have to wonder will she blow.

You won't ever have to worry about that rear breaking...that cooler weather will help alot to.

Man I hope so. I never say never though. I didn't get the line-loc in before today either so my brakes took a beating! I got terrible pulse and fade so no more track until it is in. I did the 9" in prep of what was to come and so glad I did!

are you running a stall? you said a 3:50 gear would be more ideal for people who do highway driving. im getting a MWC rear but i have a FLT level 4 and Yank SS3600 stall, so maybe the 3:70 gear wont be that bad

Was removing the abs rings from your 10 bolt difficult?

With the press it did actually take some **** to pop them off. When they started moving it went pretty good though.

Dont they offer a 3.55 gear for the 9inch ?

I think its a good compromise of speed and gas mileage.

3.50 for a 9". I went 12.0@113 MPH tonight bolt-ons. 3.70's are good if say you don't plan a 200 plus mile highway trip

I have a 3.73 10 bolt with an A4 and it doesn't seem too bad. I'll check on the rpm's later today.

Still loving my setup! I hammer it and have fun with it all the time. Acts like a spool most of the time, no clunking or chirps and takes a pounding!

One of my best mods to date if not the best

SI I went 11.79@114.35. Did heads/cam/intake and went 11.40@119.15. That was pretty good through a 9". If I had to do it over I think I would have kept the LS6 intake/ported throttle body and stock 241 heads. Added a nice MS4 cam and probably ran the same time.

Good choice on the motive gears. I started with the richmonds and had to swap they were noisy.
