So what are the width differences in different years of the 8.8's? Also axle lenths? I miss something? 4" shorter than a 93-02? so same size as a 82-92?

ok thanks. Love this thread! I'll be making my own when the time comes. Looking at buying a scrap 82-92 rearend for the brackets and tubes and a 8.8 for the center section. You suppose a truck 8.8 would work? or atleast the center section? How about if it just costs a case of beer?

I think this is going to be my new ladder bar setup this spring. I am going to build them from scratch going to run the lower bar parallel with the cars body then slope the upper bar down right before it makes body contact. Of course these will be made out of rod ends and cold drawn dom tubing so i will have more then one adjustment for my suspension. It should convert my setup to a regular ladder bar not a short ladder. Not that i have had any problems with current setup but if i am going to build lower control arms i might as well get the benefit of full ladder bars.
Excuse my bad Ms paint skills
