WOW thats a great price for all that. Gears, oil, rebuild kit and alum cover with stud kit. The Motive's will be fine, they arent always 100% quiet but my advice is to take it easy on them during break-in. Ratech kits are fantastic.

I have motive 3.73's and they have a little bit of noise. The guy I bought the car from tried 3 different sets, never got better or worse. From what I hear most gear sets are that way unless they are stock gm units. You will love the 3.90's fyi!!

Motive 4.10s I have installed (blue box) seem to be whisper quiet. My 3.73s (orange box) have slight whine at 50 mph.

^The gears are motive orange box 3.73's, not sure if the previous owner ever tried the blue box units...Do they have the blue box version in 3.73? if so ill try swapping them. thats exactly what mine are doing now, slight whine at 45-50.

I would say go with the 4.10's in a M6 car. I went with 3.90's in my A4, I think you would enjoy the 4.10's alot more in a M6 car.

I bought the thunder racing kit w/3:73 motives, and upgraded to the ratech deluxe install kit. I've put 450 miles on it now, doing the 500 mile break-in, and so far no noise at all. At 500 miles I'm going to change the fluid and give it hell, we'll see how it does from there!
