Strange Dana 60 Anybody on here have a Strange Dana 60 rearend on a f-body 2002 camaro? How much did you pay and how long before you received it. Just wanna know if you guys sent in your backing plates to have welded on the rearend?
Im considering the Strange Dana 60 rearend with 4 channel ABS, Truetrac, 4.10 gears.
Also is there anything I should be advised on when purchasing a Dana 60?

I just put one in about two months or so ago in my TA. I just bought the backing plates from. I didnt have the time or extra car to take mine off and send them in. The install was pretty straight forward and was really simple. Probably a 3 out of 10 difficulty to put in. I did most everything myself, had a hand when I was putting the new rear on the jackstands to mount up.
One thing I would suggest is that you check to make sure your rear shocks are still good. I didnt notice mine were both leaking until after I put the new rear on. It wasnt a huge task to put new shocks on but it would have saved me a bit of time.

As soon as I move I plan on getting one. Never again will I worry about the rear end! 35 spline axles, 4.11 gears, and a Detroit locker 
I think I might also swap out the ol LS1 for an LQ9 while its down waiting on the rear. I hear it takes ~4 weeks. I'm gonna add their aluminum cover to the mix too. 99% of the time I could care less what something looks like, but in the case of the diff cover I am getting the aluminum one strictly based on how nasty it looks 
. I know my shocks are bad, they've got 135k miles on them, lol. Hopefully I can sell the LS1 and get a nice suspension from the procedes!

My personal car runs the Strange S60... it is a very nice rear end, one of the best.
Delivery was 2-3 weeks and I purchased it through www.byunspeed.com , I recommend contacting them and speaking with Young.
