Here are a few more pics (camera sucks BTW)...









It did get pretty dusty under there in only one week.

Nothing seemed out of place and rubbing or hitting anywhere. The Strano suspension is awesome also.

Hopefully he'll chime in here, but I thought he said for break in, just use non synthetic 80/90.

im a little curious on fluid too. i just bought one this week!! i also have the Strano springs and Koni shocks and its nice to hear there are no problems with them and the 9".

I destroyed a perfectly set of Moser 9" gears after 4 passes at the track a few years ago. The gears had 5K miles on them and were quiet too.

I hit the road to return home from the track and they were screaming bloody murder on decell IIRC. Could feel them grinding some too.

Drove it home like this (45 miles) and got the gear case out and it was full of metallic sludge and the backlash was at .040" IIRC.

I was running synthetic 70-90 oil and I blamed it on that cause there was nothing else it could have been. The surface of all the teeth were destroyed from excess heat.

To this day, I will not run synthetic rear end oil. After googleing, I found many folks that encountered the same thing. It appears its about a 50/50 split for the folks that do vs. the folks that dont.

Odd, I would have expected synthetic to cause less heat and wear, not more.

All right....270 miles so far and everything still seems ok. I do have a slight whine, but I did expect something. My exhaust does drown it out. Hopefully I'll be able to get to the track on Sunday and see what happens.

On another note, the more I drive the car, the more I appreciate Strano's combo. It rides and handles better than expected. The man knows his stuff. It's still on his "start here" settings. I'll drive it this way for a while before making any changes.
