Default LS6 swap with MS4 cam with 7 5/8" 10 bolt eaton?

basically all i want to do in the future is do an LS6 heads and intake swap with an MS4 cam. Pushing it will be a 4l60e with a shift kit and 3800 stall. Will the factory 10 bolt with an eaton posi and 3.73 hold? I know everyone is going to recommend the 12 bolt but i dont plan on doing crazy drag racing. Just every once in a while go to the 1/8 mile track by my house.

I've seen automatic's last quite a while with the 10 bolt. Powerbraking it at the line meshes the gears together, which really helps to keep it from breaking. Bob

I agree with the Pro above.
Don't sweat it for the time being.
When I hurt mine (Torsen Type) it was recently with about 35k miles on it, and 100 or so passes. Car was modded at 25k miles and DR's used on it alway's since then.
Rear Clunked on the turnoff after some unusual wheelhop on a 1/4 mile pass, but still got me home from the track. Btw, my 3.73 gearset was fine.

I drove it another coup'la weeks until I put in a New Carbon Clutch Eaton Brand (not GM-Eaton "Gov Lok" type with Timken Race s & Carrier Bearings). Nice & Quiet too.

Good Luck, is all you need.
