Stock Rear?? i have a 98 Z, mostly stock with 3200fuddle converter and pacesetter Lts and catted Y-pipe and Hooker catback...i already busted the rear and was wondering about my options...future mods are simple...smaller cam.. 224/224 .568/.568 lift and maybe a set of ported 243 heads with rockers...don't exactly have 2000-2500 for a new rear and wasn't sure if i should even waste my time and/or money on a used 10 bolt??....what are you guys running with similar mods???
I have the mods in my sig and my stocker is starting to make noise and i have only been down the track 3 times. Launch at 4500. Little street racing from time to time. I am going to put a midwest fab 9 in in a couple of months with the monster 3 clutch.
I had TSP installed my 408 half a year ago I made 446 RWHP and 431 FT/TQ, only thing I replaced on my factory 10 bolt was the 3.73 gears that are now in it. Couple thosand miles later and several 12 second passes and everything is still going strong. I am however saving up for the MWC 9" rear end when my 10 bolt runs out of luck.
