Default DIfference between 3 and 4 channel axle length?

Is there a difference between the two? I have a broken 4 channel in my car and am going to pick up a 3 channel to put in. I know the difference in where the sensors are, but what if I just swap my axles and backing plates from my 4 channel and put them into the 3 channel? If they are the same length then this would work wouldnt it and I would not lose my TCS or ABS by just doing a complete swap.

I would love to find a 4 channel, but these things are hard to find so I had to jump on this one even though its a 3 channel, but its only got 30k on it.

You need the reluctor wheel off your axle and have it pressed on the 3 channel. I believe they are the same length and all that stuff.

So basically all I need to do to make the swap is take the reluctor ring off my 4 channel and put it on the 3 channel and swap the backing plates and axles? Would this ensure my TCS and ABS to be functional? I dont necessarily mind not having TCS or ABS but if its not too difficult to make a 3 channel into a 4 channel then I want to do it.

Keep your 4 channel axles and backing plate, swap them over to the 3 channel rear. Don't even attempt to swap the reluctor rings out. The axles are the same length 3/4 channel.

Thats it then? Just swap the axles and backing plates and leave the sensor on the top of the pumpkin of the 3 channel unplugged? Seems simple enough.
