ABS Kit Needed?

Done some looking and cant find what Im looking for. Iv heard if you run a spool you need it but cant get a 100% yes or no.

I just got a narrowed 12 bolt with a spool. I have a 6 speed with no traction control, do I need to buy a kit from SJM? I should have just ask Steve when I ordered but forgot to..

Also why do they say its a good idea to get one?

It sounds like you ordered your rear without getting the ABS option. Without the rear ABS your ABS at all four corners won't work, and you will have an ABS light on the dash to contend with. Basically you'll have Pre-ABS brakes, meaning if you push hard enough on the brake pedal, you'll be able to lock up the brakes and scare the **** out of everyone around you. The light on the dash can't be tuned out, you'll have to disable it. You can buy a kit to remove the ABS from your car, which will save approx 14 pounds. Bob
