Alot of grease on my outer pass. side axle and looks as if a hub or axle boot needs to be replaced. Problem is I have always taken the reared (diff) out without detaching the hub side (outer) axle. I now need to do that. I have the factory manuals and they refer to a special tool which bolts to 3 lug nuts and has a threaded nut in the center for pressure, like a balancer or steering wheel puller. Anyone done this without that tool? If so any tips will be appreicated.
