Default C-clip eliminator?

At the track yesterday I watched from the staging lanes as a third gen firebird spit the left axle out of the housing and down the track. Seeing as this car is a good bit slower than mine I have become concerned about the c-clips. I'm on a stock rear end until it blows or gives me a reason to replace it but I'd rather take a step in the direction of saftey as a collision was narrowly avoided.

So what's the deal? I see that strange has a bolt in set would they work? I know I'm on borrowed time cutting 1.6X 60fts, but like I said I'd rather have my **** break than my **** break and hit someone else.

Moser makes a nice one piece kit. Won't leak.
