Default 12 bolt transfer

found a 12 bolt moser out of a 97 z28. wondering if it will bolt up to my 99 ss. my 10 bolt which has a 4 channel/abs/dics brakes. the 12 bolt is a 3 channel with disc brakes. will this work?? are there any modifications i will need to make? guy with the 12 bolt also said it was stock length...thanx

Should fit. Plug the where the sensor goes in the top.

It will work, but you will not have ABS or traction control anymore. If you want to keep those, then you need axles with reluctor wheels pressed on. Thats how 4 channel cars ABS/Trac works. On the 3 channel rear, the sensor for the ABS is in the top of the pumpkin.

I had a 94 z28 and I swapped the rear to my 2002 T/A and in the same situation.

The 94 z28 was set up for the 3 Channel and the 02 is a 4 Channel.

I had to send my axles out, I trusted Moser to Machine, press, and put on new reluctor. I also sent them my different backing plates so that the bearings go on after the plates (like a sandwich).

I plugged the top (left the sensor in) BUT you can just find a bold and RTV on there since the 3 channel is no longer going to be used.

Also spend the $$$ now and get a upgraded Driveshaft, just get the yoke size/model # so the U joint will be correct.
