If I were to buy the EPP 9 inch housing + axles and then go to a junk yard and buy a factory 9 inch with stock centersection, could i set it up the the EPP housing?

Yes a 9 inch center is the same as any other 9 inch, Get a junkyard 3rd member perferably a Nodular iron case, Has a big N on the case, and assembly and throw it in there. But stock ford case can break from stress usally where the pinion snout and bearing are.

OP if you buy a stock centersection, be sure the axle spline count matches the spline on the axles in the pkg you bought
