Unfortunately I am not able to drive for awhile...fell off a ladder and screwed up my right ankle...no break but major soft tissue trauma. On crutches and in a boot.

 

Man, that's too bad Darren. I wrecked on my CR250 last Fall and and screwed up my left ankle, it still hurts in the mornings. Take it easy, I didn't and I regret it. Bob

Took some weights today with our utility scale:

Bare Moser M9 Housing 74lbs

Moser Aluminum Thru-Bolt Centersection with 40S Spool and 3.25R/P 59lbs

Left side 40S Axle with backing plate and E Brake housing 24lbs

Right side 40S Axle with backing plate and E Brake housing 26.5lbs

Torque Arm with all 3 Heim joints and bolts 19lbs

Both LCA's with Heim joints 6lbs

Panhard Bar with Heim joints 5lbs

So a complete M9 with 40spline axles and aluminum CC and Spool = 183.5lbs including the E Brake set-up. E Brake is roughly 10lbs total for both housings.

hey bob, I will soon be looking to order a fabricated 9 housing im deciding between your M9 and the MWC 9. I had some questions about your M9. will it work with a watts link?

also I know you give the ls1 forum discount but do you provide military discounts as well? its really all going to come down to price and if the system works with a watts link currently supplied by strano parts. I would love for you to PM me so we can talk more. I am currently deployed so calling is a little hard right now however If it comes down to ordering I will call to make sure we talk on the phone. your products look great but I am definetly trying to stay in a budget.

another question I have is if the wavetrac system is really right for me, and how different is it from the true track. This will be a street car so i want a street rear end so spools and lockers are out.

 

I don't know of anyone who has tried using the M9 (fabricated) with a Watt's link, I have never tried it. I know MWC has done the Watt's link with their fabricated rear, the only problem I see going with the MWC rear is their two to three month lead time.

If you pay by using a wire transfer I can knock an additional $100.00 off do to us not having the huge credit card fees.

The Wavetrac works seamlessly, you'll never know it is back there, and it can handle a lot of power. Bob
