Default 4channel rear end help

hello i have a 97 z28 with a 4 channel rear end trac and abs and the rear just went out on me i picked up a 2000 firebird rear end with trac and abs will i have any probs with the traction control system or anything else?

The big difference between TCS and non-TCS rears, is the location of the speed sensor. In a non TCS rear the sensor in on top of the housing. In a TCS rear it has one sensor in each axle end. If your car has TCS and the rear you are swaping in came from a TCS car it should swap right over. However the LS1 brakes and LT1 brakes are different.

will the brakes hook right up?whats the difference besides the rotor size?

You may chk I think you may just need to swap the backing plates ( I am not sure) and then use your 97 parts

So they are both 4 channel correct? Then likely only the brakes will have to be swapped.

why cant i just use the ls1 brakes?
