Default 93 rear end into a 96?

Long story short i have been chasing an issue... My father has a 93 trans am 6speed in my driveway. I was wondering if it will swap right into my 96 trans am 6speed. Thanks!

Mechanically, yes. However, you need to consider the ABS/TCS provisions on each car. If your '93 has 3 channel ABS and your '96 has 4 channel ABS/TCS, your ABS won't work in the '96 unless you convert the 3 channel to a 4. You could swap the axles from the 3 channel into the 4 (therefore you'd be installing the correct backing plates and ABS sensors, and the axles would have the correct ring on them. However, the number of teeth on the ABS rings has varied from 93-97. You may want to consult a parts professional for that information.
