Default Quick question about 10 bolts diff.

I just put some 3.90s in my 10 bolt. I put the axles and c clips back in and im woundering if it matters what way the big block that goes in the middle to hold the c-clips in goes. I cant rember what way it came out cuz when I took the bolt out it just fell out.

I have not tried it both ways. It went in the first time. It has the milled slots facing up toward the top. This is on a torsen diff if it matters.

It's been awhile since I've had mine apart, but I believe it can only go in one way too. Doesn't it have a hole only on one side of the block for the bolt to go though?

I have been researching this and it appears Torsen (zexel or whatever) told people it does not matter.

yes the hole is on one side but if you flip it 180 on the same side it would be upside down. There are milled out areas on both sides on the top of where the bolt goes and none on the bottom. I was just trying to get it back in the way it came out because the gears and c clips have been riding on this for the past 127k miles so I wanted to get them back the way it was.
