Default Need to fix my one wheel peel...

hey whats goin on. the other day i noticed i only had one tire spinning at the track. my car is a 2000 trans am A4 with 154k miles all stock with 2.73 gears. ive tried looking for an answer but im not really coming up with anything. is the stock diff rebuildable? are there clutchpacks that can be replaced, or do i just have to look into a whole nother unit? Thanks

Yes, you can replace both the clutches and the springs.

1999 and up were torsens. Can't rebuild a torsen, the gears get worn down and they tend to slip with high loads. You'd have to replace the entire posi unit with another torsen or with the traditional auburn, that can be rebuilt.

This thread is so full of fail.....

You CANNOT rebuild the stock positraction with new clutches, you have to replace it.
You CANNOT take a 2 series posi out and install a 3 series using a 2 series gear, if you change the posi you MUST change the gears to match the carrier/positraction.
