Default Auburn oil help for noob

Hello everyone as the title states I'm new to the forum and f-bodies for that matter but I picked up a 98 FTA with a little over 52k on the clock and everything seems well until I make a tight turn at low speeds, I can hear the posi chattering more on right turns than left. Now the original owner changed the fluid at 6500 miles to Royal Purple w/GM additive and when I look under the car it is wet around the rear so I'm assuming maybe the level is low. Now my main question is that the owners manual recommends synthetic oil but I've heard so much about not using it with Auburn posi units, which is what I have since it's a 98. What do you all recommend? More synthetic with the additive, or change over to dino with the additive? I ordered a new TA aluminum cover with the bearing supports to go along with my oil change.

Default

I use regular 85w-90 mineral oil with one bottle of GM additive and no chattering.
