10 bolt with 3.73 and nitrous on ET radials My 98 z28 has a built TCI 4l60e and has the stock 10 bolt with 3.73 gears.
The engine is putting down about 380 RWHP and the A4 shift real hard and solid at the track. I have nitto 555 275/50/15 right now and they were spinning through first and some into second at the track. My best short time was 1.80 on the nittos when the track was prepped and I was in the grove.
Other times it was spinning in first pretty good. Best time was 12.3 @ 112 in the 1/4.
My question is this. I know the 10 bolt sucks and i'm gonna replace it ASAP. But for now, I just put a progressive nitrous shot (25 in second and ramp to 100). Also just got a NEW set of MT 275/60/15 ET street radials.
Whats the best way to try and make the 10-bolt last with the new drag radials and progressive nitrous?
I was going to spray in second with a 25 shot and fade into 100HP with the progressive controller (FJO). Same in drive, but no spray in first.
I was hoping to make the nitrous hit smoother and maybe the 10bolt will last until I get a 9" put in it.

I hope so man. Im going to get the bottle filled in the morning, and get the new drag radials mounted and balanced.
Tomorrow night at our local track I got a $200 bet going on w/ a buddy. his far runs consistent 7.40's so I'm hoping to pick up 4-5 tenths in the 1/8 with the 100 progressive shot and new radials.
I got an MSD timing twister/retard but didn't have time to hook it up tonight so I may even back the shot down to 75 to be safe if it runs good enough.

Several 1.45 60fts and several years of 1.50's 1.60's. Spraying a full 100 shot out of the hole. I just got my MWC 9" 3 days ago finally haha.. Put her in the 10's last year and have run low and mid 11's with the stock 10 bolt.
I say spray the full 100 shot out of the hole, and if your rear is making noise just turn the radio up or open the cut out
