9" and torque arms questions

9" and torque arms questions

Ok so I might go with a 9" for my street/strip car. I've been reading that most of the torque arms (stock and aftermarket) are not fitting correctly. Someone mentioned that spohn makes one that will fit. I dunno if this TA is slightly different than their normal TA but this is good to know. I dunno if i really want to run this TA but if i have no choice than i may have to. Im starting to lean towards a strange 12 bolt now!........Opinions

It's not that they don't fit. You just have to grind a little on the mounting tab. Takes maybe 5 minutes. No big deal. You will see where you have to grind.

I even had to grind a tad off my spohn to fit correctly. but it will work

Ok, so all the TA needs is a little grinding to fit. This is where the TA meets the rear TA mount, correct. Once this is done the TA does not hit anything like the tranny tunnel?

my 9" has a stock TA in..it fit perfectly... i am installling a BMR TA on Saturday and i guess i'll find out if it fits... but if the stock one fit fine i would think the BMR will fit too

Sometimes you have to clearance them.

I had to clearance my Random TQ arm back in 2000.

well with my torque arm's front bolts on it did not fit, i had to pull out the front bolts on the ta and get the back bolts in first and then the front ones, and then it fit perfectly alright for me on my 9"
